SanMar is committed to living our Family Values every day and in every way. We recently decided to make a difference in each of our communities across the country and do our part to raise money for worthwhile organizations. This year, each of our eight distribution centers and home office joined forces to fundraise for local organizations that work with the homeless population in our neighborhoods. The result was nothing short of amazing, as we raised more than $120,000 for very deserving groups!

The team in our Issaquah home office spent two weeks participating in fundraising activities, competitions and events. There were raffles, an online auction, collections to dress managers in superhero costumes, a bake sale, SanMar Oktoberfest and even a toilet paper toss from the fifth floor balcony. The team raised more than $88,000 for Friends of Youth, an organization that supports thousands of people each year, providing the only overnight youth shelters on Seattle’s east and south sides.

Each of our distribution centers hosted local events to support charities near and dear to their communities. Focusing primarily on organizations that help homeless youth and veterans, our eight warehouses raised a combined $33,000. Games, bake sales, barbeques and other events helped to forge connections and camaraderie amongst teammates while generating the much-needed funds charities rely on to continue doing their good works.
