The SanMar Decorator Relations team works with its vast network of decorators around the country to test new techniques, equipment and tools. The goal is to understand the ideal decorating methods for every product SanMar offers and to recommend how to solve some of the biggest decorator challenges.
Customers regularly contact SanMar for guidance and recommendations related to various decorating challenges, including:
- Roller bags are particularly challenging to decorate as embroidery hoops can’t fit over tight seams or zippers. SanMar discovered that certain decorators in the network have the specialty clamps needed to hold bags in place. The Decorator Relations team can connect customers to decorators for these challenging projects.
- Waterproof items pose a host of challenges for decorators. West Coast customers in particular wanted to understand how to best decorate these items without altering protection and performance. The Decorator Relations team partnered with its network to test various decorating methods to educate and inform on the fabric and equipment requirements for waterproof products.
- Pigment dyed fabrics, especially in neon colors, can lead to headaches for decorators. These heat sensitive fabrics can react with popular inks for an uneven look. Working with its National Decorator Network, SanMar identified the proper inks to use and how customers can work with their suppliers to find the right supplies.
The more information the SanMar Decorator Relations team collects on various techniques, equipment, fabric and processes, the more helpful they can be to customers around the country.
